We have advised long-standing client Connection Capital and its investor clients on four deals in quick succession over the summer.

Investment in Barwood Capital Regional Property Growth Fund IV

This Fund targets sites, development projects and underperforming property assets in the UK regional market. The Fund focuses on sectors such as logistics hubs and warehouses, catering to the growth in online shopping resulting from Covid-19.

Further investment 17Capital Fund 5

This investment was a second close for Connection Capital’s investor clients in 17Capital's fifth 'preferred equity' fund following an initial close in March 2020. The Fund provides liquidity solutions to private equity investors, which is in high demand as a result of the Covid-19 crisis.

Investment in Capital Dynamics Clean Energy Infrastructure Fund VIII

The focus of this Fund is on onshore wind and solar sector infrastructure in the UK and Europe.

Investment in IQ Capital Growth Fund I LP

This Fund invests in UK tech businesses, already with established revenues, which are looking to disrupt global markets. It focuses on areas such as cybersecurity, high-performance engineering, data analytics and enterprise software.

Corporate partner, Tom Rush, who led on all four deals commented: “We are proud to continue our support for Connection Capital and their investor clients on these exciting investment opportunities. It is great to see continued investor appetite and deals still being done during these uncertain times.”
