We have advised the shareholders of General Advertising & Marketing Measurement & Analysis Associates Limited (“GAMMA”) on their sale to mTAB Holdings Limited, for an undisclosed sum. We worked alongside Transcend Corporate, led by partner Ian Aldridge, who acted as lead Corporate Finance adviser.

Based in Laindon, Essex, GAMMA is a provider of world leading software for the analysis and visualisation of survey research. It counts the world’s largest automotive companies amongst its clients with more than 10,000 users in 24 countries.

mTAB Holdings Limited is part of the US based mTAB group of companies (“mTAB”) which is backed by Poplar Partners. mTAB is a leader in the survey analysis industry, providing software and support to market researchers, advertising agencies, and Fortune 500 companies, enabling users to analyse, structure, and deliver their survey data to the end-user through its web based mTAB software.

The deal was led by our Reading Corporate Partner, Andrew Peddie who was assisted by Reading Corporate Solicitor, Lisa Faragher.

Ian Aldridge, Partner at Transcend Corporate commented: “The contribution of Andrew and his team at Gateley Plc to this transaction was significant, with issues arising during the course of the negotiations which required real depth of legal expertise and experience to handle. The clients took quickly to the Gateley approach and were very satisfied with the outcome.”

Commenting on the deal Andrew Peddie said: “It was a great pleasure to work with the GAMMA management and shareholders, and with Ian and his Transcend team, on this transaction and to see the business embark on a new phase under mTAB’s ownership. For the GAMMA team to have built the business up over the previous 20 years and then realised a successful exit is a great achievement, and one we were delighted to help facilitate in the final stages. We wish the business much further success in the future.”
