Alzheimer’s Research UK – our new charity partner

We are pleased to announce that we have joined forces with Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) as our new national charity partner for the new financial year.

The partnership will see us supporting various events and research projects throughout the year as well as promoting World Alzheimer’s Month in September. We will also share wellbeing tips and resources on how you can protect your own brain health.

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity with a mission to accelerate progress towards a cure and put a stop to dementia. They work to revolutionise the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia and envision a world free from the fear, harm and heartbreak of dementia.

Regional Fundraising Officer, Penny Dyer, joined Responsible Business Manager, Andlyn White on a Teams call to give insight on the important work ARUK are involved in. In this session they discussed topics such as key accomplishments and breakthroughs, what the funding is used for and what they would like more people to know about Alzheimer’s. Penny also shared with us a real life story from one of her colleagues which highlights the heart breaking and challenging impact it can have on loved ones.
