Treading a path to securing jobs

Our restructuring advisory team has advised on a deal which has led to more than 260 jobs being saved through the acquisition of a Warwickshire-based specialist shoe and podiatry retailer in a pre-pack deal.

Gareth Harris and Lee Lockwood of RSM UK Restructuring Advisory LLP were appointed as joint administrators of Shuropody Retail Ltd. The joint administrators were advised by Gateley’s Matthew Brown, restructuring advisory partner, Liz Russell, solicitor and Niall Crossley, trainee solicitor.

Andrew Buchanan, partner and head of the restructuring advisory team, commented: “Well done to everyone involved. It is good to see how our skills all crossover and make a difference to our client outcome.

“We received some glowing feedback from our client on the way the transaction was conducted, including how our team really put in a huge effort and went that extra mile when required. This really demonstrates how we ‘step up to the plate’ and achieve a great result to delight our clients.”
