The Leicester office of national law firm Gateley Plc, has appointed solicitor Amrit Hunjin to its Family and Private Client team.
Amrit, who is a member of Resolution; an organisation that promotes a constructive and non-confrontational approach to family law matters, joins from Knights Professional Services where she was an assistant solicitor. Prior to this, she was a family solicitor at Cartwright King.
Her areas of specialism include: divorce and separation; financial disputes involving mid to high net worth assets, businesses, pensions and trusts; property disputes between unmarried partners; disputes in relation to children and financial claims on behalf of children; and protective work at the outset of a relationship or marriage.
Amrit said: “Joining Gateley is a really exciting opportunity as I will be able to develop family and private client services across the East Midlands, as well as working for a firm with a great regional reputation.”

Amrit is the second lawyer to join Gateley Plc’s Family and Private Client team in Leicester, following the appointment of partner Jane Cowley at the end of last year from Howes Percival.
