With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Alexander and his team provide expert advice and services to diverse clientele comprising local authorities, private organisations, and Government agencies. The team’s primary objective is to help clients comply with statutory requirements when developing infrastructure projects, road schemes, regeneration schemes, and new developments across the UK.

With extensive experience in the Planning and Compulsory Act, Town and Country Planning Act, and Highways Act, Alexander is well-versed in the legal requirements of these regulations whilst also possessing a comprehensive understanding of land referencing and geographic information system (GIS) capabilities.

As Head of Land Referencing, Alexander’s leadership and expertise are invaluable. He is responsible for ensuring the land referencing team works seamlessly across all phases of project development, keeping to budgetary and time constraints, and maintaining the highest quality standards to deliver exceptional results for our clients. 

Alexander works with the GIS Manager to enhance operational efficiencies and identify opportunities for process optimisation within the land referencing and plan production service lines. His services include producing land reference, Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO), Development Consent Order (DCO), and Book of Reference schedules and plans, site inspections, third-party investigations, and developing documents for statutory requisitions/ requests for information. He also publishes CPO/ DCO statutory notices and plans, supports ‘Notification of Order Making’, site notices, and maintenance, organises and updates confirmations and revisions, and provides documents and legislative documentation services for notices to treat and enter, notices of intention to issue a general vesting declaration and the general vesting declaration itself.

Experience

  1. A1 in Northumberland, Morpeth to Ellingham: Extensive land referencing for a Development Consent Order for the upgrading of the A1 to a dual carriageway, including construction of a new dual carriageway.
  2. A358 Taunton to Southfields: Land referencing for a DCO to upgrade an 8.5 mile section of the A358 between Southfields Roundabout on the A303 and the M5 at Taunton, to a high quality dual carriageway.
  3. A27 East of Lewes: Preparation and service of Confirmation for National Highways, including work and service on NTT/ NTE and GVD processes.
  4. Heathrow Third Runway Expansion: Order limits lead, extensive land referencing and consultation of over 200,000 persons or organisation through the DCO process.
  5. Quality assurance of Land Referencing data and deliverables on Thames Tideway Development Consent Order as non-project team reviewer.
