Assad’s practice is focused on a broad range of cross border corporate transactions and corporate advisory. Assad has an extensive experience of providing legal and strategic advice on corporate, private equity, mergers and acquisition, joint ventures, real estate projects, restructurings, reorganisations, and investor dispute settlement in the Middle East.
He has advised governments and sovereign entities, listed companies, private wealth offices, investment banks, real estate developers, private equity firms and multinational corporates.
He has extensively advised on foreign direct investments, privatisations, public private partnerships, and management and commercialisation of the public sector assets.
Assad has previously worked at Herbert Smith Freehills and senior legal positions at Dubai Inc. entities.
Assad has a Master’s degree in Corporate and Commercial law (with majors in Law of International Finance and International Construction Contracts and Arbitration) from King’s College, London. He is admitted as a Solicitor of England & Wales after qualifying as a Barrister-at-Law from Lincoln’s Inn. He is a member of The Law Society.
