Daniel predominantly deals with landlord and tenant matters, with a particular focus on the retail sector. His caseload is largely made up of estate management for high-street names and SMEs. He has developed experience in dealing with a breadth of transactions from heads of terms stage through to completion, including: new lettings (and pre-letting agreements), lease renewals, surrenders, assignments and option agreements. More recently, Daniel has had an increased involvement in high value freehold acquisitions and disposals for investor clients.

Daniel also provides support to the firm's wider corporate and restructuring teams on the property elements of a range of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, refinances and insolvency/administration proceedings.

Experience

  1. Regularly advising the UK’s largest jeweller and luxury watch retailer on the management of their extensive property portfolio, including negotiation of complex leases and pre-letting agreements with institutional landlords.
  2. Advising a large UK housebuilder on the letting of commercial units at a sizeable mixed-use development.
  3. Assisting in the property aspects of the administration of two major high street names, including the assignment of leasehold interests to third-party buyers.
  4. Assisting on a number of portfolio acquisitions for a major social housing provider.
