Helen is the real estate team’s professional support lawyer and is responsible for ensuring that the team is kept up to date with changes in real estate law and practice. She also manages the group’s real estate know how and maintains and develops its suite of real estate precedent documents.
Helen also oversees the provision of training for lawyers within the department and is involved in projects to deliver IT innovation for the team.
Before becoming a professional support lawyer, Helen worked for a number of years as a transactional real estate lawyer, acting for both landlords and tenants in the retail, leisure, office and logistics sectors and for purchasers of single assets and property portfolios, and their funders. She also worked in a role carrying out detailed and complex property due diligence, with particular emphasis on development finance and investment finance transactions.
