Jennifer heads up our land referencing and property research team which provides an individually tailored and comprehensive service to government agencies, local authorities and private organisations, supporting them through all required statutory processes for infrastructure projects, new developments, road schemes and regeneration projects throughout the UK.

She is conversant with the requirements of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act, Town and Country Planning Act; and Highways Act. She is trained in Land Law by H.M. Land Registry and has worked in land referencing for well over 10 years. She has a full understanding and knowledge into all aspects of land referencing, and knowledge of geographic information systems (GIS) and computer-aided design (CAD).

Jennifer’s role includes managing and coordinating the land referencing team, including project leaders, on a wide variety of projects; from feasibility right through to delivery, making sure work is completed on time and within budget, and that clients’ expectations have been exceeded. She also leads the team in securing new instructions, business development, the continual development of processes and procedures – as well as the team’s professional and personal development. 

Working alongside the GIS Manger for mapping services and plan production, she works to maximise efficiencies and identify opportunities to streamline business processes within the land referencing and plan production service lines. 

She supports clients through a range of services, including: producing land reference, Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO), Development Consent Order (DCO) and Book of Reference schedules and plans, site inspections and third-party investigations; developing documents for statutory requisitions / requests for information, including creating and developing ballot verification documents; publishing CPO / DCO statutory notices and plans; supporting 'Notification of Order Making', site notices and maintenance; organising and updating confirmations and revisions; and providing documents and accompanying legislative documentation service for notices to treat and enter, notices of intention to issue a general vesting declaration and the general vesting declaration itself. 
 

Experience

  1. Producing/designing new documentation for Ballot Verifications for Kingston Council
  2. I have gained knowledge on the different types on planning used within the UK which include, Development Consent Orders (DCOs), Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs), Vesting Orders.
  3. Understanding and interpreting Her Majesty Land Registry title registers and plans in great detail to identify interests that range from Freehold, Leasehold, Beneficiary, Rights and Restrictive Covenants.
