Expertise

Steven has many years’ experience providing quantity surveying, project and programme management and cost consultancy services to the construction industry.

He is responsible for performance delivery and business development and is able to bring his personality and skills to bear when representing the best interests of the client. Steven also leads on the development of new services for the business including stock condition, asset management and portfolio acquisition, due diligence and consultancy services.

Steven takes pride in working closely with the wider project team to provide a high level of advice to clients. This ensures that innovative, commercially aware and financially suitable solutions are successfully delivered to all project stakeholders.

He has worked in a variety of sectors including residential, education, retail, industrial and manufacturing. He has worked with clients including private funders/ institutional investors, housing associations and registered providers throughout the UK, local developers, development specialists, national housebuilders and private clients.

Steven has also been an external examiner for Loughborough University for their MSc in Construction Management with BIM and has worked with the RICS on providing seminars to universities and RICS Matrics.

Experience

  1. Advising various national registered providers on circa 2,500 residential properties per year as Employer’s Agent (EA) and Clerk of Works(CoW).
  2. Establishing our build-to-rent sector, acting as EA and CoW for a 1,500 unit portfolio to be delivered over two years.
  3. Advising a registered provider on the single largest portfolio acquisition of existing residential properties to a ‘for-profit’ in England.
  4. Acting as an embedded member of the client team to establish and implement their strategy for future growth. 
  5. Advising clients on funding allocations, managing the finances of all key stakeholders within a programme of works and producing loan drawdowns, when required.
