For graduate trainees, we suggest applying at the end of your second year as a law student or the end of your final year if you are a non-law student. We accept applications from candidates studying their GDL or LPC as well as postgraduates.

Gateley Plc is a Public Limited Company headquartered in Birmingham, and it’s one of our largest offices with over 330 people.  There are 180 people in Manchester, 30 people in Leicester, over 40 people in Nottingham and 75 people in London. We also have over 50 people in Leeds and 20 people in the Reading office. We are authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority.

Corporate, Commerce Technology & Media, Family Law, Real Estate and Construction, Private Wealth, Restructuring and Shipping & Transport. Supporting the legal work is a range of support functions including HR, Admin, IT, Finance, Marketing and Communications.

For graduates applying for a summer vacation placement, we will contact successful applicants following the closing date for applications and invite you for interview. Following the interview, we will invite people who have been successful to attend a placement with us during the summer when you will be formally assessed. We will then assess successful candidates for a training contract position.

Each year we recruit a number of trainees through our summer vacation placement scheme and would encourage anyone interested to apply for a placement with us with a view to being considered for a training contract. To successfully apply for a summer vacation placement, you should currently be in your second year as a law student or third/final year if you are a non-law student. Our deadline for summer vacation placement applications is 31 January. Our deadline for training contract applications is 31 July.
