Following on from the success of last year, Tour de Gateley returns in June 2019 in both the Midlands and North West.
Both routes will be circular with an option to ride 50 miles or 70 miles in the Midlands and 70 miles in the North West both involving some challenging climbs.
The Midlands ride will take place in Warwickshire on Tuesday 18 June.
Starting at the Durham Ox in Shrewley, Warwick the Midlands ride has two planned stop off points along the route for drinks/lunch and drinks/buffet after the ride.
Drops Cycling Team
We are excited to announce a new dimension to Tour de Gateley 2019. We will be joined by elite riders from the women’s cycling team: Drops.
Set up in 2016, the team regularly competes in European and World Tour cycling events. Nicknamed the “team that just won’t die”, Drops lost their sponsor in 2018 and have crowdfunded in order to secure their 2019 programme. We’re extremely pleased that we can support the team through Tour de Gateley 2019.
Gateley’s business training partner Sandstone Communications, a company that provides leadership, personal brand and network training, will be living their values and practicing what they preach, supporting this years event. They will be bringing along a number of their ambassadors including an Elite Ironman athlete former Team Sky rider and a Scottish rugby captain, to support the event. This is yet another exciting reason to attend.
Entry costs will be going to our chosen charity Cycling Projects which promotes cycling through a range of successful community engagement programmes giving people the opportunity to cycle on a regular basis.
