Gateley Legal has announced the launch of a new, holistic private client service for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, covering the breadth of taxation from ongoing tax compliance to planning.
The new offering provides a premium, client-focused tax compliance service for high-net-worth individuals, which ensures that clients’ tax returns and other UK filings are completed to the highest standards with appropriate disclosure being made. This means that tax planning, wealth structuring and compliance can integrate seamlessly.
The service will, among other things, cover all clients’ taxation needs from self-assessment tax return preparation to managing the taxation requirements of crypto assets, as well as preparing clients for future taxation needs that will come as a result of tax administrative changes like Making Tax Digital for Income Tax Self-Assessment. In addition, the team has extensive experience in engaging with HMRC on behalf of clients. This ranges from disclosing tax irregularities, under one of the HMRC disclosure facilities (or otherwise), to acting for the taxpayer in enquiry work or more serious investigations.
Lynnette Bober, tax director at Gateley Legal, said “Compliance with tax rules and regulations has become increasingly important in recent years, so we are delighted to be able to offer clients a destination for all their taxation needs. With taxation continuing to become increasingly complex, there is more reason than ever why high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth taxpayers need specialist assistance with their tax compliance. At Gateley we are able to provide this along with other legal and tax services that our private clients might need.”
With the introduction of the new offering Gateley has expanded the tax team with two new hires. Tom Le Santo has joined as a senior tax manager from Evelyn Partners (formerly Smith & Williamson), where he held the same role; while Manoj Synghal has been appointed as a tax consultant from EY Frank Hirth, where he was an assistant manager in the Private Client team. Both Tom and Manoj will be based at Gateley’s London office at Paternoster Square.
Lynnette continued “The addition of both Tom and Manoj and the vast experience they bring means that we are in a position to offer our diverse client base a fully integrated, personal service through our new offering – allowing us to deal with all our private clients’ legal and tax needs under one roof.”
