The London office of Gateley Plc, the legal business of law-led professional services group Gateley, has appointed Employment partner Gareth Wadley to expand its Employment practice in the city and help develop its new Global Mobility offering.

Gareth has more than 10 years’ experience in Employment and Immigration law and previously worked at Eversheds where he was responsible for setting up the London immigration practice.

Gareth’s appointment follows on from the hiring of Global Mobility director Steve Asher, who joined the firm in September last year. Gareth will work closely with Steve to develop the immigration and employment legal aspects of Gateley’s Global Mobility offering.

Gareth said: “My aim is to work on combining the legal and consulting elements of Gateley’s Global Mobility services so that we can offer a comprehensive service to clients and I look forward to working with the team to develop this over the coming months. Gateley has a solid reputation and the firm’s listing is enabling it to grow and diversify through adding complementary businesses and services to an already well-established legal business.”

Paul Hayward, partner and head of Gateley Plc’s London office added: “I am delighted to welcome Gareth to our London team. His areas of expertise will be a great addition to our Employment practice and his experience in Immigration law will add great value to our Global Mobility services.

“The development of Global Mobility consulting is part of Gateley’s growth strategy, introduced when the company listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in 2015. This includes diversification through organic growth and acquisitions of complementary non-legal businesses.”

Gateley’s Employment law and Global Mobility consultancy services support leadership teams, global mobility functions and HR departments in understanding the detail behind the broader aspects of global mobility which can be the difference between failing to deliver business objectives and having a global mobility programme which enhances business success.
