By using compulsory purchase powers to consolidate fragmented ownerships and implement strategies that will breathe new life into towns to deliver social, economic and environmental benefits.

While some local authorities regularly use CPOs and are comfortable doing so, we know that there are many local authorities that understandably have avoided them and are unused to the process and requirements.
