Announcement of intention to float on AIM

In June 2015 Gateley became the first UK commercial law firm to be quoted on a public market, joining AIM with a market capitalisation of £100m.

We handled all of the legal work on the IPO ourselves (except due diligence), including the extensive pre-IPO reorganisation, giving us a unique insight into the process as both lawyers and clients.

Since then, we have experienced life as a quoted company, dealing with all ongoing corporate governance, compliance and other requirements, such as the annual reporting cycle, educating staff about working for a Plc, introducing senior management and staff-wide share incentive schemes and making successful acquisitions of complementary businesses.
