Gateley Plc named most active M&A legal adviser in North West for 2018

The Corporate team in the Manchester office of Gateley Plc, the legal business of law-led professional services group Gateley, has been ranked as the most active legal adviser for deals across the North West for 2018, in a report by Experian.

Activity in the Experian MarketIQ M&A advisor league table is ranked by volume and the Gateley Plc Corporate and Banking & Finance teams were named top in the North West, advising on 370 transactions for UK companies, with an aggregate deal value in excess of £3.9bn.  Notable deals include advising on the sale of Yearsley, the UK’s largest frozen food logistics provider, to US warehousing company, Lineage Logistics and advising Inspired PLC on an acquisition and share placing, as well as advising on Betfred’s partial sale of the Tote to Alizeti Capital.

The news follows on from the recent announcement of Gateley’s half year financial results, in which revenue has grown by more than 20%.

Gateley were also ranked number one in Yorkshire and the Midlands.
