Gateley Plc launches residential development offering in East Midlands

We have continued the expansion of our residential development offering by launching a team in the East Midlands.

The new team will be led by partner Steven Plummer who has relocated to the East Midlands from Gateley’s Leeds office.

Steven helped develop Gateley’s Residential Development team in Leeds into one of the largest specialist teams in the North of England and following its success, now plans to do the same in the East Midlands and East Anglia.

Gateley Plc Director Callum Nuttall, said: “Our residential development unit is a market leader which has expanded rapidly over the last few years through its offices in Birmingham, London, Leeds and Manchester. Creating a presence in the East Midlands is another significant investment for us in the housebuilding sector and will enable us to support our clients locally. Steven has relocated to our Nottingham office where he will be primarily based, but he will also operate from our Leicester office, ensuring the team can deliver the best results for our housebuilder, promoter and landowner clients in the East Midlands and East Anglia.”

Steven said: “The East Midlands and East Anglia is a vibrant and growing economy. Despite uncertainty both economically and with the planning system, housebuilding is strong across the regions. My aim over the next twelve months is to develop the team and provide a strong Residential Development offering to the area.”

The new team complements the recent launch of Gateley’s Residential Development offering in Manchester with the appointment of legal director Louise Ilhan, as well as the recent appointment of partner Andrew King to the Residential Development team in London.

Gateley Plc acts for all of the top 10 housebuilders, and 18 of the top 20, in all regions of the UK. The national plot sales team itself is responsible for selling around 5 per cent of all new home plots in the UK and we are currently acting on three of the Government’s 14 Garden Villages.
