Gateley Plc advised longstanding client Paintbox Group on their investment from the Business Growth Fund (BGF). The £50 million turnover Birmingham business paints car parts for the likes of Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Aston Martin. The investment which has been made alongside a £3 million facility from Barclays, will support the development of a fourth robotic paint line at the company’s Birmingham site, which will be operational later this year.
Paintbox Group was founded in 1989 to service the Formula 1 industry and now has a team of more than 300 at sites in Kings Norton and Banbury, Oxfordshire.
The deal was led from our Birmingham office by Corporate partner Tom Durrant, and supported by Corproate associate Mark Canning.
Commenting on the deal, Tom Durrant said: “We were delighted to work with Paintbox Group on securing this investment from BGF in support of the longer term growth strategy of the business.”
