Chris specialises in advising corporate occupiers in all aspects of landlord and tenant work. His key client’s include Goodyear and Formula One Auto Centres as well as a major high street and a number of businesses in the retail sector. Chris spent a number of years earlier in his career working in the in-house property team of NatWest bank dealing with the bank’s “business as usual” real estate requirements.

Chris regularly deals with estate management work on large portfolios across the UK and is familiar with advising on service charges, rent review provisions, pre-letting Agreements and the negotiation of leasehold assignments and underlettings. Chris also has experience of dealing with land acquisitions conditional upon planning and related development and construction advice.


  1. Acting for Goodyear Dunlop Tyres UK Limited on its accelerated franchise programme, involving the disposal of 106 Hi-Q Stores in 26 separate deals and was one of the UK tyre industries success stories in 2008.
  2. Acting for Goodyear Dunlop Tyres UK Limited on its disposal of its former production site at Washington, Tyne & Wear at the price of £12.5m and which involved substantial contamination and telecommunication issues.
