Michael is a residential development lawyer who specialises in acting for national housebuilders in respect of infrastructure agreements for matters arising before and during site development. The agreements establish the legal arrangements providing for the laying and future maintenance of the roads and utility services that serve developments.

Michael previously worked for a South Yorkshire firm, dealing with residential development, residential conveyancing and commercial real estate matters and therefore has experience across the legal property sector.


  1. Overseeing a large number of infrastructure agreements for a variety of different housebuilder clients with developments ranging from a handful of units to schemes encompassing hundreds of units over multiple phases.
  2. Advising and acting for a new housebuilder in all aspects of their initial developments, including site identification, site acquisition, site set up, plot sales and ancillary matters.
  3. Acting for a landowner in negotiating with multiple parties to agree a deed of easement vital to their proposed development.
