Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, Sonal gained broad experience in residential conveyancing including plot sales.
Since joining Gateley, Sonal has increasing experience in high-value complex transactional work including unconditional purchase contracts, conditional contracts, options, freehold reversions and disposals of affordable housing units to Registered Providers.
Experience
- Assisting a top ten national housebuilder on their acquisition of a residential development for 800 dwellings. This involved leading a complex completion involving numerous landowners, collaboration with another housebuilder and completion of infrastructure agreements for a new road network.
- Advising a top five national housebuilder on a conditional golden brick housing contract worth circa £9m with one of the UK’s largest affordable housing providers.
- Assisting a top five national housebuilder with a first phase purchase of land worth £6m for a residential development in Devon and dealing with an immediate joint venture agreement with South West’s largest housing provider.
- Acting on the drawdown of land in Manchester on behalf of a regeneration client pursuant to an overarching Development Agreement.
- Acting on a freehold reversion for a top 20 housebuilder.
