Wendy is an expert in Construction and Engineering Law, acting for clients across most sectors. She currently divides her time between acting as a professional support lawyer, which involves sharing knowledge internally within Gateley Legal and externally with client and other stakeholders in the construction sector, and practising Construction and Engineering Law.
Wendy is a very experienced solicitor within the construction sector, advising in relation to both contentious and non-contentious matters. She has previously spent some time in-house as a senior solicitor with a national housebuilder. This experience gives Wendy a real understanding of the commercial needs of a business and enables her to provide more practical and commercial advice to clients.

- Helping a developer to settle a litigated claim regarding defective design of a waste-water facility at a pet food factory.
- Advising a contractor to contest a class action with over 70 claimants brought under the Defective Premises Act 1972.
- As an in-house solicitor, advising the board of a national housebuilder regarding the legal implications of Covid-19.
- Delivering tailored training regarding construction contracts to teams of quantity surveyors from local authorities, universities, contractors and sub-contractors.
