Strategic dispute advisory services in the Middle East

Our experienced team supports clients in identifying, managing and resolving disputes proactively before they escalate into formal proceedings from a position of strength, ensuring the most efficient and commercially favourable path forward. We are recognised for our ability to provide commercial, pragmatic and strategic advice across the dispute resolution landscape in the region.

What we do

Our advisory work includes:

  • early case assessment;
  • contract and risk analysis;
  • evidence and document strategy;
  • claim positioning and negotiation tactics;
  • settlement strategy and dispute avoidance initiatives.

We help clients strengthen their position ahead of arbitration or litigation or resolve matters efficiently without formal action.

Our approach

Our focus is on clarity, risk mitigation and informed decision making. This aligns with Gateley Middle East’s wider ethos of helping businesses navigate complexity through practical and business focused legal solutions.

Our extensive experience includes:

  1. Major retail shopping centre (Abu Dhabi): Advising a private developer in relation to a potential arbitration with a global contractor for sums in excess of USD400m. The matter may proceed to arbitration following expiration of the amicable settlement period. We provided pre-dispute advice and legal opinions on the prospects of success and the preliminary preparation of a case strategy for the Board’s consideration.

* Some of these credentials were completed by team members during their employment with other firms.
