David has a very pragmatic approach and work ethic. He is a senior member of staff who is always prepared to apply his considerable experience and pragmatism to almost any problem or situation that he is presented with.

As you would expect, David is a firm believer in correct procedures and processes, and not just with architectural or construction issues. To this end he was assigned the job of putting together a procedure, together with associated guidelines, for all Gateley Smithers Purslow technical staff regarding the preferred method of using and populating the GSP Technical Job Files (GSP Jobs 2023, GSP Jobs 2024).

David is always available to assist and advise his colleagues and associates.

Experience

1. Formulating construction details and solutions in ‘non straightforward’ situations.
2. Advising on specific design approaches in complex roof designs and loft conversions.
3. Advising on pre-application planning approach in order to avoid unnecessary initial design costs.
4. Advising on most practical underground drainage designs.
5. Ensuring that all relevant data is obtained and duly considered before critical decisions are made.
