Our Guildford office has chosen to support the premature and sick baby charity, Bliss, as its charity partner for the next 12 months.
Bliss exists to give every baby born premature or sick in the UK the best chance of survival and quality of life. The charity provides emotional and practical support at neonatal units across the UK, so that families have a better understanding of what is going on with their baby.
Ruth Armstrong, head of CSR at Gateley and national head of the company’s Regulatory team said: “Every year our staff nominate the charities they care about and everyone in the business is able to vote. Bliss was selected as Guildford’s charity of the year and it's wonderful to partner with this wonderful organisation, and help those babies and families who are in need of our support.
"The charity will be the focus of our fundraising efforts throughout the year, which will include dress-down Fridays, auctions and raffles amongst other things.”
Justin Irwin, Chief Executive of Bliss, said: “We are delighted to partner with Gateley as their chosen charity. With their help and generosity we will be able to aid even more babies born premature or sick and their families.
“Each year more than 100,000 babies are born needing neonatal care and the funds raised by Gateley will help us get closer to our goal of ensuring every single one of them has the best chance of survival and quality of life.”
