Amrik is the managing partner in our Dubai office. He specialises in cross-border corporate mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, foreign direct investments and large-scale project finance developments in emerging markets. He has extensive experience in the United Arab Emirates and GCC having worked closely with both government and private companies on large-scale mega real estate projects and corporate transactions across MENA.
Amrik has built up a specialism over his career in advising on Mega real estate projects including luxury hotels and resorts. Amrik has advised hotel developers on leading projects with international hotel operators such as Anantara, Banyan Tree, Starwood Group, Hilton, Marriot, Four Seasons, Hyatt, One and Only and Mandarin Oriental on all aspects including specialist hotel management agreements, finance and construction aspects. He has successfully completed the Cornell University course on hotel real estate investment and asset management and is highly recommended for his hospitality development work.
Amrik has worked with leading regional developers in real estate investment including mixed use luxury developments.
Amrik has worked in-house as corporate counsel at Emaar Properties PJSC and at TDIC Abu Dhabi, advising on some of the landmark development in the UAE including the development of Burj Khalifa and Saadiyat Island.
Amrik has recently led a firm wide team on supporting a client to develop specialist hyperscale data centres across the region and advised on several digital infrastructure transactions. He sits as a non-executive board director for a data centre development company in order to provide ongoing support and is also a non-executive director of a DIFC real estate investment fund that carries out luxury real estate investments in the GCC.
He is a member of the Law Society International Group and several real estate investment groups, due to his international experience.
