Tim is an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor with a broad range of experience and leads the East Anglian building surveying team. He advises clients in both commercial and residential sectors in acquisition, redevelopment and refurbishment of building assets.

With an in-depth knowledge of modern and historic construction techniques, Tim provides a full range of building surveying services including design and contract administration, technical due diligence and defect diagnosis, dilapidations advice, condition surveys and planned maintenance programmes.

He is also a incorporated member of the Association for Project Safety (APS) and acts as Principal Designer in construction contracts.

I listen to and understand clients’ needs to mitigate risks in developing and refurbishing building assets, by providing straightforward advice on how to overcome issues.

I have a comprehensive knowledge of dilapidations issues to help landlords and occupiers understand their dilapidations liabilities by being commercially focussed.

I have an in-depth knowledge of contractual matters and running construction projects to mitigate risks and ensure they are delivered for my clients.

Experience

1. Advising investor clients with portfolio and individual pre-acquisition and vendor technical due diligence.
2. Providing advice to landlords and tenants on potential dilapidations liabilities.
3. Acting as Principal Designer on various new build residential developments.
4. Acting as Lead Consultant and Contract Administrator in a £4m conversion, repair and refurbishment of a Grade II Listed property to provide thirteen apartments.
5. Advised a facilities management provider on preventative and planned maintenance of a Grade II Listed multi-let office.
