Sam regularly assists on a range of employment law areas, covering both contentious and non-contentious issues arising in the workplace.

Sam has gained experience in Employment Tribunal proceedings on a range of topics, such as unfair dismissal, unfair constructive dismissal, discrimination, harassment, and victimisation.

In day-to-day employment issues Sam has assisted from both an employer and employee perspective, such as drafting and negotiating settlement agreements, drafting contracts of employment, enforcing restrictive covenants, managing sickness and absence, redundancy and TUPE.

For three years prior to joining the Employment team Sam specialised in High Court civil litigation in one of our property dispute teams.


  1. Successfully defending an Employment Tribunal claim relating to unfair dismissal and unfair constructive dismissal.
  2. Assisting in defending a high-profile Employment Tribunal claim relating to harassment and victimisation.
  3. Successfully enforcing restrictive covenants against a number of former employees for a major construction company.
  4. Providing support on a corporate acquisition in relation to negotiating the new contracts of employment and outgoing settlement agreements.
  5. Assisting counsel secure a costs award for our client in the Employment Tribunal against a claimant.
