Beth Mather

Expertise

Beth is Head of our Corporate unit and a member of the Gateley Strategic Board. She specialises in complex domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, buy-outs and disposals, with a particular focus on private equity. Beth combines considerable deal experience with strong commercial judgment, advising clients across the full corporate lifecycle on both strategic transactions and day-to-day corporate matters. She works closely with her clients to understand what matters most to them and to guide them through transactions with clear, practical advice. Beth is well known in the corporate finance market for being straightforward and commercially focused, even on the most demanding deals.

Beth was named in The Lawyer Hot 100 2026, awarded ‘Corporate Lawyer of the Year’ at Insider’s Midlands Dealmakers Awards 2025 and won ‘Changemaker of the Year’ at the BusinessDesk West Midlands Rainmaker Awards 2023.

1. Advising on the sale of Aquavista Watersides to Antin Infrastructure Partners.
2. Advising LDC on their investments in Little Fish, Instinctif Partners, Independence Governance Group, Aker Systems, Bramble Foods, Deltron Lifts and the Frankham Group. 
3. Advising Palatine on their investments in BK Plus, Isle Utilities, Skills Alliance, the Morro Group, Transcrip, Inclusive Employers and Atombit.
4. Advising US insurer, AmTrust International, on undisclosed UK MGA acquisitions. 
5. Advising on the sale of Chase Gin to Diageo Great Britain Limited.
6. Advising on the sale of Independent Governance Group to ECI Partners. 
7. Advising on the sale of The Simply Group to the Autajon Group.
8. Advising on the sale of Rolec Services and One Stop Europe to Sdiptech AB.
