We have advised Carbon Fibre Preforms (CFP) on securing funding from private investor network Growthdeck and venture capital firm Midven.

Midlands-based CFP designs and manufactures a revolutionary, ultra-lightweight and cost-efficient heat-resistant material that is attracting demand across the train, aeronautical and shipbuilding industries.

The investment will allow the firm to purchase specialist machinery that will enable increased commercial production resulting in access to global markets.

Our team was led by partner Simon Gill (Corporate) and supported by partners Richard Morton (Banking & Finance) and Merran Sewell (Employment).

Simon Emary, chief operating officer at Growthdeck said: “As soon as I visited their West Midlands production facility, I could see Carbon Fibre Preforms had the potential to become a great British engineering success story. This investment is also a first for us, co-investing with the Midven VC team, who have also bought into the potential markets for CFP’s revolutionary material”.

Simon Gill said: “We are really pleased to have advised CFP on this investment. I have no doubt that the business will continue to go from strength to strength with the backing of both investors”.
