We advised management and the buyer on the management buy-out of Hammonds Furniture, which was financed by HSBC UK Bank Plc and Frontier Development Capital.

Founded in Hinckley in 1926, the business supplies fitted bedroom, kitchen and home office furniture to both the home improvement and new build markets.

Our team, led by Corporate Partner Tom Rush included banking partners Andrew Madden and Jacob Robinson, corporate solicitor Ruary Smith banking associate Gemma Murphy, banking solicitors Harvinder Kandola, and Poppy Brown, employment solicitor Helen Webster and property associate Shazan Miah.

Tom Rush, who advised on the corporate aspects of the MBO said, “We are delighted to have worked with the management team on this transaction, which sees the third generation of the Hammonds family take charge of the business. Gateley has a strong tradition of working with ambitious, entrepreneurial businesses to support their growth plans and we’re pleased to have played our part in supporting the management team at this exciting phase of their development.”
