We have advised LDC and management on the secondary buy-out of cloud software business Giacom, after securing investment from private equity investor Livingbridge.

Giacom offers cloud services to the SME market via information technology consultants (ITCs). Giacom has rapidly become the vendor of choice for over 4,000 ITCs enabling the business to service a fast-growing addressable market estimated to be worth c. £2.2bn.

The transaction was led by Manchester Corporate Partner Paul Jefferson and supported by Corporate Solicitor Katie Porter, as well as Corporate Paralegal Hannah Serene.

Paul Jefferson commented: “We were delighted to be able to advise LDC on this successful exit, having advised them on the investment in 2016. We wish Mike Wardell, Chief Executive of Giacom, and his team all the very best moving forward with their new funding partner, Livingbridge, to continue to build the business and maintain the momentum that has seen Giacom develop so successfully in recent years.”
