Our Leicester office has chosen Leicester Children’s Holidays as its charity partner for the next 12 months.

Leicester Children’s Holidays gives children across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland the chance to go on holiday for free with the aim to create happy memories with their peers, relieve stress and develop their characters. Since the charity was established in 1898, they have provided over 60,000 free holidays to children in the region.

Ruth Armstrong, head of CSR at Gateley and national head of the company’s Regulatory team, said: “Every year our staff nominates the charities they care about and everyone within the business is able to vote. Leicester Children’s Holidays was selected as Leicester’s charity of the year and it is a great feeling to know we are going to be able to help those families who are in need of support.

“The charity will be the focus of our fundraising efforts throughout the year, which will include dress-down Fridays, auctions and raffles amongst other things.”

Manager of Leicester Children’s Holidays, Nicky Kandola, said: “I’m delighted that Gateley have chosen to support us. Our holidays leave a truly life-changing impression on the children who go. They’re a chance to get away from any troubles at home, learn and play with other children, and get a fresh perspective of how good life can be. They also provide relief and help which eases the pressure for supporting family members – a welcome break for all.”
