We advised Maven Capital Partners (Maven) on a significant investment in Pagabo, a procurement services specialist, and Sypro, a contract management and compliance software provider.

Pagabo and Sypro share common ownership and the transaction allows for the creation of a formal group of companies. Offering a streamlined approach to project procurement and compliant project delivery, the companies’ complementary offerings provide a compelling end-to-end solution for public sector and large enterprise clients managing complex construction projects.

The investment, made from the Maven UK Regional Buyout Fund, Maven’s first institutional fund, will support the Group on its next stage of growth, helping to capitalise on positive market dynamics driven by increased public sector spend on national projects and Government policy to deliver better, faster and greener infrastructure.

Paul Jefferson, head of private equity at Gateley Legal, led the Gateley team advising on this deal, assisted by corporate solicitor Hannah Silverstone. The team was further supported by banking partner Christopher Lister.

Paul commented: “We are pleased to have advised Maven on another strategic investment, which will see the Pagabo and Sypro group capitalise on the opportunities for growth in their industry and go from strength to strength.”
