The Birmingham office of Gateley Legal has appointed Dawn Reynolds as a partner to its real estate practice in the city.

Dawn joins from Leamington Spa-based legal firm Wright Hassall, where she worked for seven years specialising in commercial property litigation for a variety of clients, including tenants, landlords, developers and landowners.

Dawn Reynolds said “It’s a really interesting time to be part of the real estate legal scene as we witness the impact of multiple changes in the sector. There are the challenges facing the British High Street including changes in shopping habits and dwindling footfall figures for shopping centres and increased store rental costs."

“In addition, the continued expansion of the telecommunications industry and the need for greater infrastructure and network capacity has led to a focus on the needs of both providers and landowners.  Sustainability is another key issue facing the real estate sector as there is a big push towards carbon neutrality for the construction process and for the finished building itself."

“I can assist clients through these challenging times and help them not only formulate their property portfolio strategy but assist in the resolution of all types of commercial property disputes."

Rebecca Sherwin, partner and head of Gateley Legal’s national real estate team, commented: "Dawn’s range of expertise will prove invaluable to our team as we continue to offer a straight-talking approach to property litigation for our clients."

Gateley Plc is authorised and regulated by the SRA (Solicitors' Regulation Authority). Please visit the SRA website for details of the professional conduct rules which Gateley Legal must comply with.
