Rebecca advises on a wide range of both contentious and non-contentious planning issues, including planning applications, planning enforcement, judicial review, appeals, listed buildings and assets of community value. 

Rebecca is experienced in negotiating s.106 agreements for all types of development. 

Prior to joining Gateley, Rebecca spent seven years in Local Government, firstly at Charnwood Borough Council then latterly at Rushcliffe Borough Council, where she was the Principal Solicitor and Deputy Monitoring Officer, undertaking a broad range of work for the authority, including all aspects of planning and regulatory matters.

Experience

  1. Negotiating and drafting s.106 agreements and deeds of variation.
  2. Advising on all aspects of planning enforcement, including the application, procedure and drafting of Enforcement Notices, Stop Notices, Temporary Stop Notices, Breach of Condition Notices, Planning Contravention Notices, s.215 Notices, Community Protection Notices and Injunction Proceedings, and any resulting regulatory or criminal proceedings for breaches. 
  3. Carrying out due diligence in connection with a range of property acquisitions. 
  4. Advising on applications for certificates of lawfulness.
  5. Advising on assets of community value applications.
