Planning series: Webinar 6 - Decision Making by Local Planning Authorities and Officers and members' duties

Gateley Legal

  • Time: 12:30 p.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Discussion / Virtual

Following the success of last year’s webinar series, we’re launching a new series of live bitesize planning webinars which will take place on a weekly basis.

Each webinar will explore at least one key planning issue or update that impacts on property developments and regeneration. You can join one webinar, some webinars or (hopefully) all six, whichever works for your diary and interests.

What will webinar 6 cover?

Our expert will look at the process of decision making by local authorities and their officers, along with members’ duties and what these entail. In particular, our speaker will consider:

  • decision making generally and what happens when it goes wrong
  • the development plan and material considerations as part of the decision making process
  • predetermination, bias and conflict of interest
  • officer reports to committee
