We have advised private equity specialist LDC on its investment in British Waterways Marinas Limited (BWML).

BWML is the largest operator of inland marinas in the UK. The company was established in 2004 and currently operates 18 marinas throughout the UK, offering marine chandlery, leisure and residential moorings, maintenance and repair works.

The investment will enable BWML to further develop and improve facilities at existing marinas, and to add new locations to its portfolio.

Our team, led by partner Andrew Peddie, included senior associate Mark Metcalfe, associates Sarah Souter and Jenni Ferguson, and solicitor Laurel Knight (Corporate), partner Chris Fanner, solicitors Rebecca Wood and Nikul Kad (Banking), solicitor Keeley Baker (Employment), partner Paul de Vince (CTM), partner James Gopsill and solicitor Passionate Munyengeterwa (Tax).

Andrew Peddie said: “We were very pleased to have been able to advise LDC on its investment in BWML. The deal will certainly position BWML well for further development. We wish the team all the best in the future.”
