The Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic has prompted significant changes to the workplace.

Such a radical shift would normally follow months, if not years of planning but, in March, employers were forced to adapt almost overnight.  Since then, employers have needed to continue to adapt in order to keep pace with the introduction of new legislation and ever evolving government guidance.

Whilst we all hope for a return to ‘normal’ soon, there is an expectation that the ‘new normal’ will look rather different.  The changes which employers have been forced to make during 2020 are taking on a degree of permanence and, in the case of many organisations, the pandemic has simply accelerated changes which were already underway.

With every challenge there comes an opportunity, and this may be the case for organisations who wish to look forward and develop innovative strategies for an agile workforce and embed working practices which ensure the safety, good health, productivity and engagement of their people.

Join our roundtables

Over the coming weeks, we will be hosting a series of virtual roundtables during which senior members of our Employment and T-three  teams will be discussing the myriad of employment, HR organisational and behavioural considerations arising from the Covid-19 pandemic. Aimed at small groups of senior HR professionals and business leaders, you will have the opportunity to hear from our experts and exchange views, ideas and experiences with your peers.

We have set loose themes so that you can select which session or sessions are of most interest to you.  Whilst a member of the Gateley team will facilitate, the specific content and particular issues for discussion will be directed by you and your peers.

Our roundtables will cover:

  • Re-emergence plans - transition to a ‘new normal’
  • Policies and procedures for the ‘new normal’
  • HR risks and issues arising from the lock-down period and following re-emergence
  • Engaging, managing and developing a remote workforce
  • Engaging employees in a way that promotes well-being, productivity, and the future growth of the business
  • Growing the confidence and capabilities of your leaders
  • Developing the coaching style of leaders to empower their teams
  • Effective communication skills to inspire others and deal with difficult conversations
  • Increase self-awareness, leading to more effective working practices and pinpointing key areas for development
