Highlights from Tour de Gateley 2023
Our 2023 Tour de Gateley charity cycling event took riders across the beautiful Cotswold countryside, starting and finishing at the magnificent Walton Hall.
The event brought together cycling enthusiasts from across the UK, who by completing the ride, helped raise a fantastic £3,000 for SportsAid, a charity partner of Gateley.
By donating all entry fees for Tour de Gateley 2023, an impressive £3,000 was raised for SportsAid.Â
The charity supports over 1,000 athletes each year – the vast majority aged 12 to 18 – by providing them with a financial award to help towards training and competition costs.
The charity’s extensive alumni stretch across the generations with Emma Raducanu, Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, Sir Mo Farah, Sir Steve Redgrave, Laura Kenny CBE, Ellie Simmonds OBE, Adam Peaty MBE, and Tom Daley, having all received SportsAid awards. The charity’s impressive track record was highlighted at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games with 186 medals (57 gold, 59 silver and 70 bronze) won across 20 sports. The charity’s recipients contributed to 68% of the podium finishes delivered by the Home Nations during 11 days of world-class action.
