The Purpose Pod: Maiden Cricket – Breaking boundaries to improve gender inclusivity

In this episode of The Purpose Pod, we’re joined by 16-year-old Honor Black and her father Ollie. Honor, alongside her younger sister Cat, have made a huge leap forward in the world of women’s sports by creating a female cricket clothing brand.

Honor talks to us about the struggles she’s faced being a young girl with a passion for a male dominated sport, telling us what inspired her to fill this gap in the market, and what her hopes are for their brand and for the future of women’s representation in the sport of cricket.

Maiden Cricket Rising Stars

We are excited to share that Gateley will be sponsoring several Maiden Cricket Rising Stars with a full set of Maiden Cricket clothing. If you or someone you know is a confident and positive role model and interested in girls’ cricket, then we would love for you to become a Maiden Cricket Gateley Rising Star. Rising Stars must be 8-18 years of age and be well connected to a cricket team.

Please see the Maiden Heroes website for further criteria details and to apply. (Don’t forget to mention Gateley in your application form under “Where did you hear about Maiden?”)
