Expertise

Henry is a solicitor in the firm’s restructuring team, advising businesses, creditors and office-holders on a wide range of matters arising in financially distressed situations. His practice covers both advisory and transactional work, as well as insolvency-related disputes.

He has experience handling claims involving breach of duty, professional negligence and fraud, and advises on directors’ duties, pre-pack transactions, security enforcement and retention of title issues. He also has experience in property-related insolvency matters, including receivership sales.

Henry acts for companies and directors, secured and unsecured creditors and financial institutions, and works closely with insolvency practitioners, receivers and turnaround professionals to deliver effective restructuring and recovery strategies.

Experience

  1. Working as part of the team advising Alvarez & Marsal Europe LLP on the sale of the business and assets of Surface Transforms plc, securing the future of the business.
  2. Assisting as part of a team preparing detailed additional voluntary particulars of claim and undertaking a complex disclosure exercise relating to a significant fraud in excess of $1billion.
  3. Advising surety clients in the high-profile collapse of one of the largest construction companies in the UK, helping them to achieve considerable recoveries.
  4. Providing director duties advice to directors of an AIM-listed company and helping them navigate periods of significant financial distress.
  5. Making demands for payment and petitioning for the winding up of debtor companies and the bankruptcy of judgment or other debtors.
