Jessica is an experienced property solicitor who has built her career within the residential property and development sector. Her background covers private practice and in-house experience enabling her to provide commercially focused legal advice. 

Prior to joining Gateley Legal Jessica has held positions which include a Directorship and Head of Residential in private practice. She has spent some time working in-house, heading the legal team for a regional developer, where she advised on the legal aspects of residential development and gained valuable insight into the commercial priorities and operational challenges faced by housebuilders.

My experience extends to site set-up, residential property transactions and development related matters. Having an in-house background means I understand the commercial pressures facing developers, as such I am equipped to provide practical, solution focused advice with a view to delivering projects within business objectives and timescales.

I pride myself on a collaborative approach to work and I am committed to building strong client and stakeholder relationships to support developers throughout the lifecycle of residential development projects.

  1. Advising on high-value residential property transactions, delivering a seamless service on complex and high-net-worth matters.
  2. Instrumental in the implementation of the New Homes Quality Code (NHQC) with a housebuilder, to include developing processes and delivering training to ensure compliance.
  3. Managed high volume plot sales programmes to achieve demanding completion targets.
  4. Resolved complex title defects and land registration issues to improve the marketability and saleability of residential properties.
  5. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to identify legal risks and develop practical and commercial solutions.
  6. Implemented improvements in legal processes and transactional management helping to drive efficiency and reduce delays in residential development projects.
  7. Designed and delivered training to non-legal sales teams equipping colleagues with the knowledge to manage customer expectations, identify legal issues early and facilitate efficient property transactions.
