Beth is a construction and engineering solicitor with over four years’ experience advising on both non contentious and contentious matters. She qualified at Gateley, having previously worked as a paralegal with the firm for almost three years before commencing her training contract. Beth has transactional experience advising on high value projects across a wide range of sectors, including logistics, data centres, housing, remediation works, and general commercial and residential development. Her disputes experience includes the full range of dispute resolution processes, litigation and international arbitration.

Experience 

  1. Advising developers and student accommodation providers on the procurement and negotiation of construction documentation across residential, mixed-use and remediation schemes, including JCT building contracts, consultant appointments, warranties, bonds and guarantees to support deliverability, risk allocation and clear contract administration.
  2. Advising multiple national housebuilders on multi million pound building safety remediation programmes, including funding and construction documentation, procurement strategy, and the drafting and progression of remedial works agreements to ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, working closely with high profile stakeholders.
  3. Assisting on a US$12m international arbitration arising out of a supply contract for a major oil refinery extension, supporting the dispute team with case management and key written submissions.
  4. Advising a joint venture data centre developer on four Middle East data centre projects (two in Dammam, Saudi Arabia and two in Doha, Qatar) with a combined value of approximately US$300 million, including the procurement and negotiation of ancillary warranties, guarantees and bonds, and managing complex contractual interfaces between development and finance documentation to satisfy funder requirements for financial drawdown.
