Gateley today announces that Rod Waldie has informed the Board of his intention to step down for personal, health-related reasons from his role as Chief Executive Officer and as an Executive Director with effect from 1 August 2026. Rod will remain available and is committed to working with the Group over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition to a new permanent Chief Executive Officer.

Martin Pike will be appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 August 2026, working closely with the senior leadership team. He joined Gateley in April 2025 as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee. Martin brings a wealth of experience from his executive career in global professional services, followed by a series of Non-Executive Director roles including at leading FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies. Martin spent nearly 30 years at Willis Towers Watson where he led the EMEA risk consulting and software business and was a member of the global leadership team. Whilst at Willis Towers Watson, he led a business with 650 professionals delivering high quality advice to clients, driving business performance and helping to ensure a clear strategy for growth. Since then, Martin has held board and advisory positions in organisations including Aberdeen Group plc, where he chaired the Risk & Capital Committee, AIG Life Limited, where he was Chair of the UK business, Esure Group PLC, Faraday Underwriting Ltd and Travers Smith LLP.

Martin will bring strong and experienced leadership and a clear focus on delivering margin enhancement and profitable growth.

A search process to appoint a permanent Chief Executive Officer and an additional Independent Non-Executive Director, who will Chair the Audit Committee, will now commence.
