Gateley Legal advises TEK4 Group on successful AIM IPO
Insight shared by:
We have advised Midlands-based precision engineering specialist, TEK4 Group plc, on its successful initial public offering (IPO) on AIM.
Institutional investors acquired shares worth approximately £24.8m in aggregate, comprising a £2m primary capital raise by the company and a £22.8m sell-down by existing shareholders. TEK4 had a market capitalisation of approximately £42m on admission.
Based in Leicestershire, TEK4 designs and manufactures advanced drilling systems for the aerospace and industrial gas turbine sectors. Its specialist technologies are used by global OEMs and tier-one suppliers to produce complex cooling-hole components for high-performance engines. The IPO marks a significant milestone for one of the Midlands’ leading engineering businesses as it enters its next phase of growth.
The Gateley team was led by corporate partner Sam Meiklejohn and supported by senior associate Gweni Rees-Evans, partner Jonathan Pollard, solicitors Richard Middleton-Androsov and Alex Golding, and graduate solicitor apprentice Callum Bourne, alongside specialists from across Gateley. Working collaboratively across a range of legal and professional disciplines, the team provided integrated support throughout the transaction.
Working with Gateley as our legal partner on the IPO has been a great experience for us; we could not have had a better partner through this process. Their technical knowledge and public markets expertise has guided us through the IPO and they have worked extremely hard to deliver against a challenging timetable. Sam’s leadership throughout was exceptional, consistently working through any difficulties that arose, with a responsive and easy manner. We are very grateful for a great job well done and look forward to working with Gateley as we grow as a public company.
Sam Meiklejohn commented: “TEK4’s admission to AIM marks an important milestone in the company’s development and underlines the strength of its proposition within the engineering, aerospace and defence sectors. The transaction required close coordination across legal, regulatory and commercial workstreams, and we were pleased to support Jason and the team throughout the process, working closely with the wider advisory team to achieve a successful outcome. We look forward to supporting the business as it continues its growth journey as a publicly listed company.”
