Gateley strengthens Property Platform with launch of Gateley Built Environment

We have launched Gateley Built Environment, bringing together our property consultancy businesses, Gateley Smithers Purslow, Gateley Vinden, Gateley RJA and Gateley Hamer, under a single market-facing identity. With approximately 325 people, Gateley Built Environment will be one of the UK’s largest multidisciplinary technical consultancies serving the built environment.

The launch further strengthens our Property Platform and supports the Group’s strategy of building stronger, more connected businesses. Through the Property Platform the Group will take its legal, technical and consultancy services to market together, providing property clients with access to complementary expertise through a single, integrated proposition.

Gateley Built Environment brings together expertise in building consultancy, engineering, architecture and planning, cost and project management, land and development, geospatial and utility services, and expert advisory work. Combined with Gateley’s legal services, these capabilities enable the Group’s Property Platform to offer clients integrated support across a broad range of asset classes, projects, developments and transactions, and throughout the property lifecycle.

The UK built environment sector represents a significant market opportunity for Gateley, accounting for approximately 24% of UK Gross Value Added, and underpinning approximately one in eight jobs across the UK. Planned long-term government investment in housing, transport, energy, water, digital connectivity and infrastructure is expected to create sustained demand for the multidisciplinary expertise brought together within Gateley Built Environment.

Gateley Built Environment builds on an approach already established elsewhere in the Group through Gateley IP, which brings together specialist patent and trade mark attorney businesses alongside legal expertise to create a larger and more connected intellectual property offering.
