Leeds: Volunteering to support a future generation of lawyers

Since 2021, our Leeds office has been involved with an award-winning pro bono project with BPP Law School, as legal mentors for their Law Ambassador Programme.

The scheme sees our people of different qualifications and levels volunteer to provide insight on their experiences and knowledge of legal careers.

The Law Ambassador Programme is a widening participation scheme that promotes social mobility across BPP’s partner schools in Leeds. The two-year programme provides A Level/ BTEC students with transferable skills and knowledge of legal careers and Gateley legal mentors to provide support and ask questions to, throughout the programme.

The office had another great experience day in June, with volunteers: partner, Rob Lucas, solicitor apprentice, Mominah Hussain, solicitor apprentice, Eve Gregory, graduate solicitor apprentice, Sophia Weller, trainee solicitor, Scott Cooper, trainee solicitor, Finlay Dalziel, paralegal, Will Sagar, paralegal, Daniel Flint, paralegal, Fran Kirby and paralegal, Nabeel Younis.
